Memories by Miroslav Kolev -Chairman of the National Cultural Center "Hristo Botev 1928" in the village of Stoletovo, municipality Karlovo

Former director of the Municipal Library "Dr. Ivan Bogorov" - Karlovo

Today, the long-standing President of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association, Snejana Ianeva, would have turned 69. On December 26, 2019, however, her life was suddenly  taken away. I think that she prepared worthy followers to continue her work – so that Libraries in Bulgaria will continue to develop.

Let us remember today our very respected librarian, our friend and long-time President of BBIA, an important public figure, whose noble deeds will be remembered by many, close and distant friends of the library community.

Snejana Ianeva will be remembered first of all as a good person because everyone could ask her for personal advice and professional support. But most importantly she will be remembered as a person with a huge contribution to building up the important role of modern libraries.

A deep bow to the memory of the Person, the Librarian, the Leader and the Active Citizen, who added some of the brightest pages to the history of library work in Bulgaria!
